Narrar un secuestro terrorista: estructuras narrativas, motivos y variantes
Résumé
To describe the abduction by terrorists in literature is a challenge for fiction writers since the narrative structure and the unfolding action are entirely predictable. In this essay we will analyze through the study of three novels and a play how abduction is described. We will compare the texts of the corpus in order to identify the narrative units that appear as a constant and moreover seem to be unavoidable in this type of narrative. We will also show the variants existing within these fixed components. This will enable us to point out the specificity and originality of these texts. We will see how three narrative patterns systematically appear within different narrative structures and genres: account of the abduction, survival strategies and transformation of the character.
